Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 51

Title:          Will Your Tomorrow Thank You For Your Actions Today?

In one of my past broadcasts, I told you of the 65 year old man whom I met as he was performing the job of "Pay loader" and whom I took up a discussion with and in the process he told me his life story, which though pathetic as it were, but is not really far fetched from the lives of many other persons who suffered from deprivation and lack in their childhood due to parental poverty but who out of sheer doggedness were able to extricate themselves from the dangerous clutches of poverty and become who and what they are today. I do not really like blaming people for past mistakes they had made because for them it would be of no use as no 65 year old man would ever become 40 again no matter how hard he tries, but sometimes, I discuss these mistakes so that others can learn from them; however the eternal challenge of mankind is that even though history is replete with acts of men who bore themselves up by the skin of their teeth but people still face those difficult conditions today and easily give in and give up - man never learns from history- When we are young we think that we know everything, we think that the world revolves around us and cannot do without us, we think that we shall never get old that we shall remain forever young and so we waste time jumping from one bathing suite to another, from one disco hall to another, from one drinking spree to another, from one sexual orgy to another and we call it "enjoyment" we work and spend our resources enjoying the moment, we have no thoughts for tomorrow and we make no provision for tomorrow after all the Good Book says "worry not about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself". Oh yes I concur of course with the Good Book because it also says "which amongst you willing to build a house would not first know whether he has enough resources to do so before commencement" (paraphrased) meaning that while the Good Book advises men not to kill themselves with worry about tomorrow, it encourages them to stock up what they need to work tomorrow. It is what you do today that would make you not to worry about tomorrow. If you have eaten your profit and capital, definitely you would worry about tomorrow; if you have not farmed today, definitely there would be no food on your table tomorrow, if you have not learnt a trade or a handwork today, definitely tomorrow will find you struggling to survive. It is the seed you plant today, that will yield the bountiful harvest of tomorrow. So what are you doing with your today? will your tomorrow meet you happily because of your action today? Think about it. You can create the future you want, it starts today. Make that your hand dirty with soil and sand, learn that trade if you don't want to go to School; do the hard work today, so that when tomorrow arrives, it will greet you with a beautiful and very aromatic bouquet of flowers.
