Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 45

Title:          So You Want To Be A Millionaire?

I remember in those days when I was a Teacher, I used to enjoy listening to young people as they talked about their future either in answer to the question "What would you like to be when you grow up?" or when they are together and just chatting over relevancies and irrelevancies. Most of the times, these young people would always say "I want to be a Millionaire" and when I want to have them speak out their minds in the Class outside the teaching of Chemistry and Biology, I would ask the question "who wants to be a millionaire?" and you would see a number of hands go up, and that would start another round of talks on what they would do when they become millionaires. In my life time, I have seen some of these my students actually make it to becoming Millionaires“. And that is why today, I want to ask you that question "So you want to be a Millionaire?" I am acting on the assumption that you are not yet a Millionaire and by the way remember that a millionaire is not someone who has a million naira or whatever currency is available in your local clime, but someone whose networth would not be hurt if he loses a million naira. So to be a Millionaire, you must have a couple of tens or hundreds of millions in liquid form and solid assets. Back to our question; you want to be a Millionaire? then what are you doing about it?. The making of millions is not done daydreaming, it's not done strolling on the streets with hands in both hip pockets and chewing gum while listening to Davido with ear phones plugged to both ears, it is not done by having night vigils every night and doing dry fasting and prayer every day, it is not done by hanging out at Mama Nkechi's isi ewu joint and getting drunk every evening, it is not done by having 5000 friends on facebook and 1 million followers on instagram or being a social media tiger that has a weight less than that of a sheet of paper; it is done in the field filled with sweat and pain and risks; whoever wants to be a millionaire must have the X factor because “I believe that anyone can be wealthy, but I preface that statement by the word desire. If we’re born physically and mentally OK and have average intelligence. the desire to become a millionaire is the X factor.” And that X factor must be strong enough to evoke a practical response not just an emotional one to the issue at stake (becoming a millionaire). You need therefore to put into action the plan that would make you a millionaire - a disciplined life style, paying yourself 10% of what liquid money that flows into your path, postponing gratification, curbing impulsive purchases, spending far less than you earn, mainstreaming savings and then investing in profitable ventures after due risk assessment. If you are a paid worker, do your due diligence and start some form of business on the sideline, stop living from pay cheque to pay cheque, stop being broke all the time, it is not good for your physical, psychological, financial, social and mental health. When you desire a thing so strongly that you are willing to go without food to achieve it, then you surely would achieve it. So, You Want To Be A Millionaire? It's doable, go do it

Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...

Wednesday                            6th June 2018 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 265 Title:           18 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was 18 This morning I was reading a book at my favorite beach-side coffee shop when an 18-year-old kid sat down next to me and said, “That’s a great read, ain’t it?”  So we started chatting. He told me he was getting ready to graduate from high school in a couple of weeks and then immediately starting his college career in the fall.  “But I have no clue what I want to do with my life,” he said.  “Right now I’m just going with the flow.” And then, with eager, honest eyes, he began asking me one question after the next: “What do you do for a livi...
