Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First
Hello and welcome to
#MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 47
Title: Your
Dream Doesn't Have An Expiration Date!
In
our broadcast yesterday we discussed the topic "Every Problem Has An
Expiry Date" and wow, it received loads of views and clicks. Just to say
thank you to all of you who took out time to read the post and to visit the Blog.
Closely following on that topic, we want to discuss today on the topic
"Your Dream Doesn't Have An Expiration Date". What is that dream that
you have held in your mind ever since you were a kid? To be famous?, to be
Powerful?, to be Rich?, to Travel the
world?, to own lots of sports cars?, to own a Private Jet?, to be a Big Time
Business Person?, to be the most talked about On Air Personality (OAP)?, to be
the most sought after Online Personality (OLP)? what? And have you achieved it?
If you have not, what has kept you back? How long have you chased that dream of
yours and it has "refused to materialize?" At what point in life
would you throw your hands in the air in utter resignation and decide to live
just whatever life has given to you and not necessarily what you want out of
life? When does one really give up on his or her dreams? I tell you NEVER GIVE
UP ON YOUR DREAMS. And this is because "dreams never die, only the
dreamers" a dreamer's unfulfilled dream has a way of being passed onto
another. The other day, I read the story of an 89 year old woman who was
admitted to study a course in the University at that age and when she was asked
what use the degree would be to her, she replied "it had always been my
dream to be a graduate and when I do graduate, it would be a dream come
true" She passed through vicissitudes of life that kept her away from fulfilling
her dream at an earlier age but she did not give up on it. Closer home, a woman
had to give up her dream of acquiring a Ph. D to enable her concentrate on
training her children and then when her last child was admitted to study
Medicine, she then enrolled to acquire her Ph. D; coincidentally on the day her
last child was being admitted into the Ancient Order of Medicine and Surgery,
she was receiving her Ph. D Honours from the same University and when she was
asked what was her projecting factor, she said "it had always been my
dream to be called a Doctor and since I could not become a Medical Doctor, the
next to that is to study and earn a Ph. D degree and this is a dream come true
for me" You see, both women did not give up on their dreams despite their
ages proving that age is not a barrier to achieving one's dreams. It doesn't
matter what it will cost you, you must be willing to pay the price if you want
to achieve your dream. And listen up, if you try once and fail, do not give up,
hang in there, dig deeper, take a deep breath and try again, your salvation is
surely closer now than when you first believed. Remember "dreams don't
die, only the dreamer" and never allow your dreams to die with you,
express them, achieve them while you still have the breath of life in you.
