Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 54

Title:          It's Never Too Late To Choose A New Path!

Most children that have overbearing parents have ended up studying courses they really have no passion for simply because that is what their dominant parent wanted them to study and all because of the prestige and respect attached to those courses. There are many Lawyers today who acquired the wig to please their parents but are more at home discussing Estates and their Management; there are Medical Doctors who acquired the stethoscope to please their parents but are more at home with singing and dancing; there are many Architects who want nothing to do with architecture but more with app development and programming e.t.c. This goes to substantiate the saying that "No one is his or her profession" Many are stuck in a profession they have no calling for but found themselves there by reason of convenience, some remain there because they do not want to cause any family upheaval, some die slowly and in silence because they felt that there was nothing more to do than to wait out the time that will surely come when the eternal call would come; but today I want to tell you that it's never too late to choose a new path or infact to start all over if we have to. One of the greatest men that lived on this planet earth was Mahatma Gandhi whose original name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. History has it that even though he was a Lawyer of great repute who wore his three - piece - suit, gown and wig faithfully for 21 years but his mind was not really in the practice of Law, but in the practice of redemption of his people through non-violent resistance. And so determined to make a mark better than he had made as a successful Lawyer, he quit the practice of Law, exchanged his three-piece-suit for the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl, which he wore from that day forward. He traded a ‘successful’ life for one of simplicity. And then Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi went on to become one of the biggest, most influential non-violent revolutionaries in the history of the world. His work led India to independence through the use of non-violent civil disobedience, and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the planet. Gandhi’s birthday, October 2, is now considered the International Day of Non Violence. Imagine if he decided not to “throw away” his hard earned legal career… would he have become such a celebrity as he was in his days and still being remembered and celebrated decades after his passing on? Are you stuck in a job you have no love for but doing it to please those around you? Are you in a profession you are finding hard to practice and always ready to lay down the tools out of the slightest provocation? Check well, your calling is not there, and my good friend, stop punishing yourself, this life is only lived once, there is no second opportunity, make yourself the best you can be, do that which makes you happy because if you do not have self fulfillment in that which you are doing now, it is only self punishment. Break out of the rut today and begin to make your mark.

Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...

Wednesday                            6th June 2018 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 265 Title:           18 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was 18 This morning I was reading a book at my favorite beach-side coffee shop when an 18-year-old kid sat down next to me and said, “That’s a great read, ain’t it?”  So we started chatting. He told me he was getting ready to graduate from high school in a couple of weeks and then immediately starting his college career in the fall.  “But I have no clue what I want to do with my life,” he said.  “Right now I’m just going with the flow.” And then, with eager, honest eyes, he began asking me one question after the next: “What do you do for a livi...
