Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First
Hello and welcome to
#MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 83
Title: Stop
Running Away, Take Responsibility!
He
was placed in the Garden and given specific instructions of how to relate with
the trees and animals and plants in that Garden. He knew all the trees, animals
and plants by fruit or offspring by name because as a matter of fact he was the
one who gave each living thing that was created its name. When his wifey
brought the fruit of the tree he was forbidden to eat, he knew it was that
fruit but he still went ahead to eat it and when the Owner of the Garden
confronted him and asked him "what is this you have done?" he knew he
was guilty but HE HAD TO PASS THE BUCK. He refused to accept the responsibility
for his action and rather retorted "the woman YOU gave me, gave me of the
fruit and I ate". Since that first act of "passing the buck" men
and women alike have not failed to put it in practice whenever they find
themselves in a tight corner from which they have to wriggle out. A lot of
people shy away from taking control of their situations because they are always
on the look out for whom to lay the blame on - if it is not their parents, it
is the Government or their bad friends or even their bad neighbours. Everyone
is guilty but themselves. If I give you a piece of advise and you decide to
accept it, at that very moment you accepted it, it becomes your
"property" and if you go ahead to implement it, whatever is the
outcome should be your responsibility and turning back to blame me if that
piece of advise did not turn out well, is a case of passing the buck. Stop
running away from accepting responsibility for your actions and inactions as
the case may be. Stand firm, take responsibility, learn the lessons and move on
with your life.
