Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 100

Title:          When You Know Better, You Do Better!!

At some point in life, we all are guilty of berating ourselves for mistakes made in the past or even undermining our own integrity and thus wallowing in self pity. We tend to be very harsh on ourselves at times. We have this idea of who we want to be and how we want to behave towards ourselves and others on a daily basis, and whenever that behavior is not aligned with this ideal, we tend to get very critical and judgemental. This is something that happens to a lot of people. Many of us are our own worst critics and we are so hard on ourselves. We blame and criticize ourselves for things we might have done in the past, failing to realize that the past is in the past. On the other hand some of us are Master Crusaders against anyone who has failed at one time in their past or even failed consistently out of repeated criticism. These crucifiers behave like they have never made any mistakes of their own in their lives but that is a big lie. Who has lived and hasn't made mistakes?, Not one person. Whatever your story may be, however gross the mistakes you made in the past may be, it is very essential that you don't hold yourself hostage to who you used to be in the past or what you used to do. We can’t change what happened in the past but we can surely learn from it. You did what you did then based on what you knew but now that you know better, you certainly are doing better than you did in the past. Don't let anyone judge you based on your past, if anyone must judge you at all, let them judge you based on the present and what your potential is for the future. It was Oprah Whinfrey that famously declared “When I think about my twenties and what a foolish girl I was and how I would give over my power to men who really didn’t mean me well… But now I hold no grudges against them either because I realize I’m the one who gave over the power because I didn’t know any better. And now that I know better I know I don’t have to do that again. It’s one of the most powerful lessons any of us can ever know.” You like Oprah can also make your own famous declaration and let past things live in the past.  Today we are different people. Today we know better, and because we know better, we do better.

Morning Vibes With DrJerry The -First-Episode 20

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 20 Title:          Not All That Glitters Is Gold!!! This is a popular maxim that I bet you have heard countless number of times that it may have lost its true meaning to you. But have you really sat down with yourself to critically examine its worth? From times immemorial gold has been one object that men and women, Kings and Queens hanker after, while some are willing to die in search of it, others are willing to kill to obtain it and all these are linked to the qualities of gold - its durability, its sacredness, its glittering and reflective nature (especially when exposed to light) and the fact that to acquire gold, one rally must be at his best either in the sports or in the mines. Little wonder then that sports men and women want to win the gold medal by any and all means. High quality gold is an object to ...

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First - Episode 309/10 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew In My 20s

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 309 Title:           10 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew In My 20s Time speeds up the older I get. At this time of my life and looking back, there are a lot of things I may have done differently had I known what I know now. With experience comes wisdom, and I could have used some of that wisdom when I was in my 20s. But I have to put the "coulda,   woulda, shoulda" in the past. Instead of mulling over fears and regrets, I'm focused on the present and dreaming big for the future. It's essential for startup leaders and entrepreneurs to follow Grant Cardone's model for going 10X So thinking about that 10X mindset, I've come up with a list of things that I wish I'd learned earlier. Here are 10 life lessons I wish I knew in my 20s. 1. Challenge the status quo. You have to challenge the status quo...
