Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 108

Title:          Your Greatest Investment In Life!!!

On a cold winter morning, he woke up with a start, he was all alone, no wife, no child and he felt very sad. His parents had been on his neck to marry and give them grand children before they go home, but he was not in a hurry to do that because he was yet to acquire the means to take care of a Family whenever he decides to do so. Most of his mates were married with kids, but he was not fazed by that; whenever that issue was brought up with him, he would rhetorically ask, and how are they living? what is the standard and quality of their lives? and the matter would be closed there and then waiting for another bait. He decided, he wasn't just going to be another statistic in the world, another number of those who were born into the world, he was going to distinguish himself and that's what he did. After his first degree, he served and while serving he spread his earning power all over the place that by the time he was through with service, he had enough money to pay for his Masters Degree Program, which he immediately embarked upon. While studying for his Masters, he picked up a demonstration job for which he was being remunerated handsomely; and just as he was submitting his Masters Dissertation, an opportunity threw itself up for a Ph. D in a rare but related field to his area and he quickly pounced on it  and there was another 3 years to spend studying. By the time he submitted his Ph. D thesis, he felt fulfilled and now willing to take on the challenges of life and living; but immediately thereafter, an opportunity for an 18 months Post Doctoral Fellowship at a World Renowned University threw itself at his feet and as usual, he grabbed it with both hands and while at that University, he met and fell in love with a fellow Post Doctoral Fellow and their romance blossomed into marriage. At the wedding, while giving a toast, his best friend who also was his Chief Detail or Best Man (married though with 3 kids) said that he thought his friend was married to reading books and acquiring certificates and that it was a pleasant surprise that he had decided to touch earth and settle down. In his thank you speech, the groom stated that his reason for acquiring all the certificates he can acquire while still being able to do all the hard nut reading was because he believes that a man's greatest investment should be in himself, because that is what will prepare him to be fully positioned to take on the challenge of living and raising a family and other sundry issues. Are you sacrificing yourself for others (especially family members)? don't forget that no one else can live your life for you. Every child of yours has his or her own life to live, even they follow your footsteps in career and all that, but they will never live your life and so if you want to count for someone who came and saw and conquered and not just a mere statistic, then you've got to invest in yourself. It is never too late, the world is dynamic, life itself is dynamic and so you should be too. Nothing is ever the same once it has been touched. Think about it and start doing it today.

Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...

He told me he was getting ready to graduate from high school in a couple of weeks and then immediately starting his college career in the fall.  “But I have no clue what I want to do with my life,” he said.  “Right now I’m just going with the flow.” And then, with eager, honest eyes, he began asking me one question after the next: “What do you do for a livi...
