Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 38

Title:          When Life Happens, Drop The Blame, Pick The Lesson Learnt!

I recently came across a man who claimed to be 65 years old and who was working as a pay loader (you know those people who load and offload goods and products). I was intrigued seeing such an older man working the job meant for younger people and so my curiosity took the better part of me and I excused him for a while; he didn't want to talk to me initially because he would lose money if he did not continue working but I promised to give him what he would have earned for the period he would discuss with me and he then agreed. I told him that I was interested in knowing the reason behind him doing this kind of job at the age he claimed, without any hesitation or equivocation, he told me straightaway that he has a family to maintain and since he did not go to school nor learnt a trade or handwork, the job of payloading was the only one he could do. He said he didn't start off that way in the first place but that time had run out on him and he could not possibly go back to undo all the things he did wrongly nor do the things he ought to have done, but that he is slaving himself away for his children, praying and hoping that they would be better than him. He went down the history lane to tell me how he has "sufffered" since his mother brought him into the world without a father, and how he has landed from one problem to another, how he married late because he needed to have representatives on earth, how his wife is not willing to lift a finger to help him even by doing petty trading saying that he is the man of the house and must bear all the responsibilities, at a point in his narrative, his eyes became very misty and I felt that if he continued, he might begin to shed tears, so I cut it short there and asked him what lessons he had learnt from his numerous forays into life and living? Why have I written this for your readership? so that you'd know that all men without exception have their loads of problems; no man still breathing is exempt from problems, though some people seem to just be in the thick of problems almost regularly, but it is in the overcoming of these problems that success is achieved. Life happens to each one of us, missed opportunities, failed promises, blackmails, failed friendships, unloving relationships, failed businesses, failed careers e.t.c. but instead of dwelling in the past and constantly berating yourself for all those failures, it is better to pick the lesson from the failure and move on. This is simply so because, there is no life lived backwards, life is always lived in the present and the future. However if you apply the lessons learnt from the past, to the present, you would be building a future you'd be proud of. Every failure has in  it the seed for success, look for that seed, plant it again and I tell you, your future would surely be greater than your past.

Wednesday                            6th June 2018 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 265 Title:           18 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was 18 This morning I was reading a book at my favorite beach-side coffee shop when an 18-year-old kid sat down next to me and said, “That’s a great read, ain’t it?”  So we started chatting. Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...
