Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 30

Title:          You Are Not Your Job!!!

By the time you were probably in your Primary 6, you were asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" In our society, job titles have come to define who a person is. By defining yourself by what you do rather than by who are you can put yourself in emotional jeopardy. By losing touch with who you are, coping with life transitions, such as job loss, can be even more difficult. When your job defines you, your world becomes very narrow. Thoughts about your job and the challenges you face are always on your mind no matter what you're doing or whom you're with. You subtly begin to value people, activities and relationships based solely on how they can help your career. And you consistently withdraw your time, talent and energy from other areas of your life so that you can give more of yourself to your work, leaving you emotionally empty outside the office. When your job defines you, everything that happens at work seems personal. A recent survey of 12, 000 respondents reported that "their personal identities are defined by their career". Does this describe you? You have few interests outside of work; you feel restless when you're not working; you can't carry on a conversation without referring to something at work; you make yourself available to people at work 24/7; and when you're at home with family, your mind is back at work. If it does, you've defined yourself too much by your job. Today, you need to hear the truth #YouAreNotYourJob. You are not your job, you are not how much money you have in your bank accounts, you are not the car you drive, you are not the contents of your wallet, you are not your fashionable clothing, you are not the shoes you wear neither are you the golden watch that adorns your wrist, You are much more than all these. Remember that " You can love your job, but your job will NEVER love you back" Do not let your title confine you neither should you let your job define you. Rather, let your title expand your horizon to enable you to see and behold the beauties that lie ahead of you and define your job instead, so that when the job leaves you (as it 75% of the time will), you would still be well grounded enough to move on to the next phase of life. Let me remind you once again You Are Not Your Job.

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 309 Title:           10 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew In My 20s Time speeds up the older I get. At this time of my life and looking back, there are a lot of things I may have done differently had I known what I know now. With experience comes wisdom, and I could have used some of that wisdom when I was in my 20s. But I have to put the "coulda,   woulda, shoulda" in the past. Instead of mulling over fears and regrets, I'm focused on the present and dreaming big for the future. It's essential for startup leaders and entrepreneurs to follow Grant Cardone's model for going 10X So thinking about that 10X mindset, I've come up with a list of things that I wish I'd learned earlier. Here are 10 life lessons I wish I knew in my 20s. 1. Challenge the status quo. You have to challenge the status quo...

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirstEpisode307 Title:           Which Do You Have Money Or Excuses? Money or Excuses… You can’t have both. That’s a secret I learned early on. There are two types of people who want to make money online… Those who have excuses and those who have money. Maybe right now you’re in the set with the losers who have excuses? Such excuses as: “I don’t have the time.” “I need to get it perfect.” “I can’t write sales copy/do graphics/do xyz.” “I can’t afford xyz tool.” “I don’t like xyz so don’t want to do it.” “I’m worried what others will say.” “Whaaaaa whaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaa” You have a choice. You can have all those excuses and more… Or you can have MONEY. If you don’t want money then this post is a waste of time for you.  Go read the latest J K Rowling dross about w...
