Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 31

Title:          Get A Life!!

Yesterday we sent out a broadcast with the title "You Are Not Your Job" and it really received a big welcome on the social media. Someone asked me "If I don't love my job, how am I going to learn enough on it and grow through and with it, to be the best I can and make myself indispensable on the job and to the Company? Great question, I must say but then, my braodcast yesterday was not about people not loving their jobs, No, it was about people being obsessed with their jobs to the detriment of every other aspect of their lives. They eat their jobs, drink their jobs, sleep on their jobs, wake up on their jobs, nothing else matters to them outside the job's sphere. They follow a monotonous routine that often times makes them "wet blankets" in social gatherings; and if for any reason they lose that job, then they are lost in a tempestuous high sea. Too often, titles and the status that goes with them are what people measure themselves by. So when they lose their job, they can feel adrift, purposeless and even depressed, often with disastrous physical effects. This seems to be much prevalent with men who see job loss as a source of shame and embarrassment. It is to such persons who have become "routines" that I advise today to #GetALife! Have meaningful purpose, activities and pursuits that are as important as work. Develop a healthy work life balance, where you are not emotionally tied to work 24/7. Redefine achievement and accomplishment. When people gather at your graveside when your life is over, it's unlikely they'll be talking about what a hard worker you were or refer to your resume. Develop strong and healthy emotional connections with people outside of work that can help provide meaning in life, and be a support if and when you have a sudden career change.
And finally, go through the process of understanding and defining who you are not just what you do. Why are you here on this earth? Who are you, stripped of the work that you do? This self-examination alone, will give you the strength to survive the ups and downs of a career life. There is a life outside the work place, go get it and exhale and live.

Until I come your way again, this is #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 309 Title:           10 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew In My 20s Time speeds up the older I get. At this time of my life and looking back, there are a lot of things I may have done differently had I known what I know now. With experience comes wisdom, and I could have used some of that wisdom when I was in my 20s. But I have to put the "coulda,   woulda, shoulda" in the past. Instead of mulling over fears and regrets, I'm focused on the present and dreaming big for the future. It's essential for startup leaders and entrepreneurs to follow Grant Cardone's model for going 10X So thinking about that 10X mindset, I've come up with a list of things that I wish I'd learned earlier. Here are 10 life lessons I wish I knew in my 20s. 1. Challenge the status quo. You have to challenge the status quo...

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First - Episode 307/Which Do You Have Money Or Excuses?

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirstEpisode307 Title:           Which Do You Have Money Or Excuses? Money or Excuses… You can’t have both. That’s a secret I learned early on. There are two types of people who want to make money online… Those who have excuses and those who have money. Maybe right now you’re in the set with the losers who have excuses? Such excuses as: “I don’t have the time.” “I need to get it perfect.” “I can’t write sales copy/do graphics/do xyz.” “I can’t afford xyz tool.” “I don’t like xyz so don’t want to do it.” “I’m worried what others will say.” “Whaaaaa whaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaa” You have a choice. You can have all those excuses and more… Or you can have MONEY. If you don’t want money then this post is a waste of time for you.  Go read the latest J K Rowling dross about w...
