Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 34

Title:          Reach For Your Best, Why Settle For Less?

In the pyramid of wealth drawn over centuries past, the majority of the people (about 80%) are at the base, another 18% is at the Centre while only a paltry 2%  is at the top. It is clear from that diagram that lots of people settle for the average or even less than the average which is also referred to as mediocrity. The story is told of a lady who "hopped from city to city, tiny apartment to tiny apartment, and dated a lot of people during it all; working in bars and in coffee shops; sold greetings cards and clothing that she couldn’t afford to buy for herself; dated men who gave little thought of making her their bride, thus selling herself short over and over again and settling for what she didn’t want, all because somewhere along the way, she was told, sold and made to believe that she just couldn’t have what she really wanted. She was told that what she wanted was for someone else, someone better and more deserving than herself. And she swallowed that poison hook line and sinker and it ruined a better part of her life. When anyone accepts their present circumstance or situation as final and make no efforts to improve on it, that is called "settling" and it is a very dangerous poison because once the initial disappointment sets in, we realize that not only do we not have what we want, we also have to maintain something we don’t genuinely care about. It’s a progressive poison that only gets worse the more we settle. Once you’ve settled for one thing, settling becomes easier and easier, and eventually becomes normal. If you have settled down to a humdrum life, here's a wake up call. Of the over 25 million sperm cells that were released by your father when he met with your mother, only ONE (the fastest, the most intelligent, the most powerful) made it to the egg to fertilize it and thus give vent to you; this means that you are not a weakling in any way, you were formed by strong components and that strength is in you. Your genetic code, your DNA bears testimony to this fact, if therefore you are making yourself a weakling, it's all your fault. Today, take responsibility for your life, kick yourself in the butt, and tell yourself that the era of settling for mediocrity is over for good. Take a cue from the Bill Gates of this World, the Dangotes and go out there and make the best out of yourself. The top is practically empty, stop running around with poverty at the bottom, it is dangerously infectious. If fear has kept you bound - the fear of failure, or the fear of success, the fear of what they will say, the fear of not wanting to be heard or seen, you need to break that chain and look at fear in the face and call off its bluff. Nobody and nothing can hold you hostage without your permission and cooperation, refuse to allow fear rule your life, be very afraid but learn to exhibit bravery in your fear, that is what conquers the world. Don't give up on yourself, the best of you is yet to be seen. You are the captain of your own ship. You make your own rules about your life. You deserve good things. Go for the top, you don’t need to settle for less.

Wednesday                            6th June 2018 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 265 Title:           18 Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was 18 This morning I was reading a book at my favorite beach-side coffee shop when an 18-year-old kid sat down next to me and said, “That’s a great read, ain’t it?”  So we started chatting. Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...
