Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 64

Title:          Never Let Anyone Dissuade You From Chasing Your Dreams!!

In his Primary School days, he had dreamt of becoming a Transporter. He loved the idea of owning lots of buses and cars that are helping to move people from one place to another. When he passed the Common Entrance and gained admission to a Secondary School, his parents called him to an early morning Conference on the eve of his departure to the Boarding House and advised him on taking his studies seriously so that he can do well at the final exams and get admission to study Law in the University. They did not ask him what he wanted to be after Secondary School and he did not tell; however when he got to Class 4 and was to choose subjects, he decided to go the Commercial line choosing Commerce, Economics, History and Government, he communicated this to his Parents who were very livid with anger and advised him to include Literature in English as one of the subjects and they refused to budge when he said he was not good at the subject. When it was time to register for the West African School Certificate Examination, his Parents simply refused to give him the money for the registration because he disobeyed them and that was the beginning of the breakdown of relationship between Son and Parents. His School Master came to his aid and he got registered, took the exam and then afterwards instead of going back to his Parents house, he found his way to the Big City. He knew no one there but knowing what he wanted to be, he went straight to the Bus Park and asked to see the Chairman of the Bus Drivers Association. He told the man that he wanted to be a motor boy or conductor. A Driver not only agreed to take him in but also provided him with a space to sleep. And that was how he started; he swore to himself that he would not see his parents again until he returned home in his own bus. For 3 years he learnt all there was to learn about transportation from his Master and others through informal education, in the 4th year, he took up a job for someone as a Bus Driver, he did that for 2 years and then in the 7th year, he took out a loan from the Cooperative Society that he had joined when he started out and bought a bus of his own. He started driving his own bus; the same year, he took three other buses on hire purchase, and engaged 3 other drivers to drive for him. Within one year, he had paid off the loans and debts on the buses that they became effectively his. He repeated the feat the next year and by the 10th year, he had 10 buses in his fleet employing 9 drivers (because he was still driving one of the buses) and those drivers also engaged conductors and other hangers on. At the end of the 10th year, during the Christmas, festivities, he decided to put all his buses at the disposal of his Town's men and women and gave them a 50% rebate on the transport fare. And then he traveled to his Villa to meet up with his parents and tell them that he wanted to marry a wife (he was only 27 years of age). His fame rose high in the Community and everyone praised him  for being magnanimous with his seed. The Parents were lost for words, but the Mother was the one that cried more and asked him for forgiveness. he told them that he had forgiven them and bore no ill feelings since God had helped him to be what he wanted to be - a Transporter. Are you in the position where those who "love" you are dissuading you from pursuing your dreams? have conditions around you prevented you from chasing that dream for which your heart beats faster? Take a cue from this guy in my story, turn your back on all your fears including your relatives, go pursue your dream, let your success be the answer to their doubts, worries and fears for you. Never ever allow anyone to dissuade you from pursuing and chasing your dreams.

Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...
