Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 158

Title:          The One Tactic To Boost Your Confidence

Quite a number of people lack confidence in themselves and that has been responsible for the many failures recorded in human history both of men and women.

Those who are less  self-confident suffer a lot from indecisiveness; they are unable to make quick choices, unable to actually know what they want, unable to even verbalize their thoughts. Most of the time, they are door mats, sponging in whatever dirt and liquid that is thrown at them.

They think they have all the time in the world not realizing that time is a perishable commodity which is either used when appropriate or wasted inappropriately.

“One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted…Do it now.” –Paulo Coelho

When it comes to making decisions, do you tend to hesitate or take immediate action?
Do you find yourself second-guessing everything? wanting a no fail proof become you can commit?
Do you find yourself needing assurances or making assurance doubly sure before making up your mind to decide?

If you live in analysis paralysis mode, you’re not alone.

Indecisiveness is certainly your companion if you take more than 10 minutes to decide on what to have for breakfast or lunch or supper; also you have an issue with self confidence if you talk to yourself most of the time in your head playing out all the possible scenarios, but quite unable to talk to your partner or friend in order to communicate your thoughts

In all seriousness, it’s exhausting when you don’t know what you want.

But thanks to this tactic I am about to introduce to you right away, you can beat indecisiveness.

As a young person growing up, I wasn't  really that quite decisive but as I grew older, thankfully, I’ve become more decisive.

How did I do it? By developing my confidence. I stopped hesitating and started taking action.

About thirty five years ago, I hit a breaking point. I was tired of caring so much, wasting emotional energy on all the wrong people and holding back what I really wanted to say. I resented myself for being the one thing I hate most in other people: inauthentic.

Everything changed for me when I started focusing less on impressing other people, and more on connecting with them.
And trust me when I tell you – it is SO liberating when you can make this mental shift.

Not only will you start feeling more confident in yourself, but you will also start attracting the right people into your life.

There are a lot of misconceptions surrounding confidence, what it means and how to get it.

First of all, confidence is not a personality trait; it’s a skill, and one you can strengthen with practice.

The Power of the 5-Second Rule

Our minds are designed to protect us from doing things that are new, scary and uncertain.

This is the real reason why change is so hard; our brains are wired for short-term satisfaction, and have a difficult time processing long-term gain.

As a result, we overthink and doubt ourselves.

The good news, however, is that you can outsmart your brain with the 5-second rule.

The way it works is simple.

“If you have an impulse to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill the idea,” says Mel Robbins, motivational speaker and author of The 5-Second Rule.

Research shows you have five seconds until your brain takes over and the self-doubt starts creeping in. You have five seconds to get back in the driver’s seat. The second you start hesitating, you’ve already lost and your brain starts working against you.

To put it simply, stop waiting. Start doing. Replace your habit of hesitation with a habit of taking action.

Practice this daily with the decisions you make and you will start to develop core confidence.

This means the next time you’re in a meeting and have a great idea, speak up, even if people scoff on your idea, they ain't gonna eat you for lunch.

The next time you see a cute guy or girl in a coffee shop, smile and say hello; he or she won't bite you.

The next time you have to choose whether to take the tube or the cab, don't spend more than 5 seconds or your default setting would take over

Over time, fear and self-doubt will no longer be your default.

You will learn to trust your instincts and believe in yourself.

That one tactic you can use to boost your confidence is Stop Waiting, Start Doing

You gat it?
then go do it

Morning Vibes With Dr Jerry - The First-Episode 87/Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Thursday    30th November 2017 Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 87 Title:          Tomorrow Is Not Promised, Live In The Now!! I have taken a look at how people postpone for tomorrow what they can do today and it really bothers me. It bothers me, not because I am not a believer in planning for tomorrow or even next tomorrow but because the thought process behind the action is that of saying that we have all the time in the world and so there's no reason to hurry. It is this thought process that has left many a man unable to fulfill their destinies and a whole number of others unable to finish the projects that they have started. The story is told of the man who was the head of the family and was expected to pass information about the family to the younger ones, but he kept pushing it forward. Each time the young ones asked for info...
