Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First

Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 263

Title:          Living in The Present - A Lesson in Letting Go

Living in the present, being minded of the now and making the best use of it is the best way to go nowadays.

There is an ancient story I really like about two Buddhist monks who were walking along the banks of a river in silence.

They had taken a vow of chastity and can never touch or even speak to a woman.
As they walked along the bank of the river, they saw a woman who was desperately trying to get across the river to her child who was on the other side.

It was a fast-flowing river and she was too frightened to cross the river all by herself.

As she saw the Monks walking towards her, she desperately beckoned on them to help her cross the river to meet with her child on the other side.

One of the Monks continued with his walk like he neither saw nor heard the woman while the other Monk walked over to her and said  "May I help you?"

He then picked her up and with the strength that he carried in his legs that walked up and down mountains and valleys and streams as part of his daily work, he carried her across the river, set her down by her child, then returned to join the other monk and they continued to walk along the banks of the river in silence again.

About two hours later the second monk eventually said to the first monk, "I can't believe you spoke to that woman and carried her across the river." "I can't believe you touched her." "I can't believe that you broke your vows."

The first monk simply looked  at his companion and said, "I put her down two hours ago. You are still carrying her."

There is such a great lesson in this story about learning how we so often carry our problems around with us long after we should have just let them go or "put them down."

We are all guilty of living in the past and focusing on what happened yesterday instead of living in the present and enjoying the moment.

Today try to think of what you are still carrying around that really isn't happening anymore.
What are you still hanging on to that isn't in your present moment?

It could be anger from an argument you had yesterday, you could still be hurting over a broken relationship, or it could be the pain you are still feeling over the loss of a loved one.

Learn to put it down.

Release it and let go of it forever.

Only when you have put down what you are still carrying around, will you have your hands, your heart and your mind free to pick up what's new, here and waiting for you now.

Sometimes you have to learn to let go of the old to make room for new things that are waiting to come into your life.

Try learning to let go today, start living in the present and see how your life changes tomorrow.

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirst-Episode 309 Title:           10 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew In My 20s Time speeds up the older I get. At this time of my life and looking back, there are a lot of things I may have done differently had I known what I know now. With experience comes wisdom, and I could have used some of that wisdom when I was in my 20s. But I have to put the "coulda,   woulda, shoulda" in the past. Instead of mulling over fears and regrets, I'm focused on the present and dreaming big for the future. It's essential for startup leaders and entrepreneurs to follow Grant Cardone's model for going 10X So thinking about that 10X mindset, I've come up with a list of things that I wish I'd learned earlier. Here are 10 life lessons I wish I knew in my 20s. 1. Challenge the status quo. You have to challenge the status quo...

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First - Episode 307/Which Do You Have Money Or Excuses?

Morning Vibes With Dr. Jerry - the First Hello and welcome to #MorningVibesWithDrJerryTheFirstEpisode307 Title:           Which Do You Have Money Or Excuses? Money or Excuses… You can’t have both. That’s a secret I learned early on. There are two types of people who want to make money online… Those who have excuses and those who have money. Maybe right now you’re in the set with the losers who have excuses? Such excuses as: “I don’t have the time.” “I need to get it perfect.” “I can’t write sales copy/do graphics/do xyz.” “I can’t afford xyz tool.” “I don’t like xyz so don’t want to do it.” “I’m worried what others will say.” “Whaaaaa whaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaa” You have a choice. You can have all those excuses and more… Or you can have MONEY. If you don’t want money then this post is a waste of time for you.  Go read the latest J K Rowling dross about w...
